So happy for all you N18 owners. Hopefully Manic lives up to the excitement surrounding them. It's about time N18s got some love!

I think the rule of thumb is go 1 step colder plugs every 70-100hp you add.

Yes they are sufficient. Also I don't see a harm putting it on a stock car. If anything it helps dissipate heat better. I could be wrong thoe.

Already has been done all around the world. Just United States is the latest release. Already tuned in Greece, UK, Korea, Italy, Romania, etc..
Many youtube videos or search Manic Motorsport on Facebook and see all the different pages. Just no one tuned in US until next week

I'm also freaking impatient!!! I'm getting tuned May 3rd. I'm installing Ways exhaust manifold and the Wagner intercooler this week and I'm looking forward to what Manic can do with the N18!

when i got my JB+, terry suggested one step colder as well. he installed a set of 5992 (ILZKBR7A-8G) into my mcs. i haven't had an issue with the plugs thus far.

btw, i have a brand new never installed evolve decat DP. if any of you guys who are heading over to eurocode for the manic tune is interested, let me know. i'm willing to let it go for a good price, and will even meet up with you at eurocode so there won't be any shipping charges. the reason i'm not installing it is b/c i am probably moving to the bay area come july and may need to get rid of the mini.

Anyone know the whp of a bone stock Cooper S with 181hp crank?
I should be expecting 230-240ish hp (260+hp crank with meth) with the tune maybe more Nick said depending on our fuel. Maybe around 215whp is my guess. I wonder how big of a difference that is from stock. Whats the stock whp? Like 160?

It could be anywhere from 160-180. I've seen dynos depending on conditions. But most N18s are around 170-180whp and to the crank it's 184hp(yipee, three extra horses). I'm sure you'll do your first run stock without a tune and two runs with the tune to see the difference.

I'm just hoping my car right now with the JB+ is "slow". Hopefully I get a huge difference. I know I will when I run the meth map with the tune but my meth kit is yet to come. One day thoe. My JB+ gets me around 18 psi.

Edit: I know I'll get serious power with the race map because he recommended not to run it all the time because you will soon run into problems with the stock clutch. Hope my 91 map puts down good power thoe compared to my JB+

Amazon.com: NGK (4471) LKR8AP Laser Platinum Spark Plug, Pack of 1: Automotive

Also, I need an extension socket to reach the plugs, correct? Anyone point me in the right direction on which one I need?
Those are both platinum plugs. I would just stick with Way's but hopefully someone else on here can give you some advice. I got it cheaper at the local auto parts store so check there first. Also I believe it's a 14mm 12 point spark plug socket.

Edit: I got an NGK 4471 and it is a platinum double prong. Not sure I'm Amazon's is old or what. But many said that is the NGK part number on ways site.

I guess we will see what everyone is running then when you guys get tuned. I'm curious to see what happens on a stage 2 since that's my goal. But I'm still happy with my JB, especially now that I'm lowered you can feel the power being put down. Post your results when you're done getting your tune.

while i also hope that the manic tune will be a vast improvement over the JB+, i don't think we've been giving the JB+ enough credit. the intro price for the manic tune is definitely right, tho! if i was 100% sure i'd be keeping the mini, i'd have jumped on this tune. =/ that being said, i might swing by eurocode, if you (or anyone else who's getting tuned) doesn't mind and shoot the breeze/spectate. i wanna see some big smiles when all is said and done!

I have a 2014 Countryman Cooper non-S ALL4 which uses the low-output (122 hp officially) version of the N18B16A turbo engine that is not available in North America (production code XD71). I've been waiting for a solution such as this since I know that the engine is physically identical to the one used in the Cooper S and that it's just crippled in the software.

I don't have much to add right now except to say that I'll be keeping tabs on this thread and I look forward to reading your comments on this OBDII tuning solution. I also hope that one day in the not-too-distant future I will have the opportunity to try this out on my car.

By the way, I would be happy if I could bring my car up to stock Cooper S levels - anything beyond that would be gravy to me (but of course I'd take it!).
