I know I've seen it before, and for the life of me I can't find it now. I'm trying to find a schematic of sorts that shows the body of the car, as well as the component layout within. It shows for example the orientation of the engine (transverse of course), the tranny, mounts, and pretty much everything else that one would be able to see from that particular vantage. Gosh, I hope that makes sense...

If anyone knows of such a link, kindly share. I did a search here and on the web, checked my owner's manual, and came-up dry. Any help would be greatly appreciated. TIA.

Cool, thanks Peter. Cell phone charging now, plus I don't want to ring you too late (after 10). I'll try to call you on Sun. Thanks...

Are you talking about a blueprint-style plan drawing or a phantom view or cutaway drawing?

I've seen a bigger version of this:

Andy, you are right-on with the version you provided! To have a few of those focusing on the various areas of the MCS (closer views) I would find to be most helpful when engaged in a project, or just contemplating future ones...

I currently snap some photos for visualization purposes. Heck, a few weeks back I was lying under my MCS contemplating current and future plans, closed my eyes while thinking, and with a nice cool breeze and birds chirping - I fell asleep for a couple hours The H-Sport blue got my senses back pretty quickly...

Andy, where did you find that? I would love to zoom-in! Given the resonator, it must be a JCW. Thank you.

I'm not sure why that resonator is there, maybe a pre-production or non-US-spec car?

I did a search on resonator and MINI Cooper S, and I found this link:

http://www.europeancarweb.com/features/0208ec_mini/

That resonator was pre-production, and I found some more cool visual aids! I haven't looked at a stock airbox in awhile, but the one shown in the photo you attached seems smaller than what I recall... Oh well, thanks for the help!
