My seats came in today. I decided on Cobra Daytonas and I had them made in black leather with silver leather inserts. Even though I still have the lapis blue back seats, I think the black/silver color combination doesn't look all that bad, especially since there is a lot of silver trim inside the car. I didn't weigh my new seats, but I can tell you that they are significantly lighter than the original seats.

I used a one (1) watt 3 ohm resistor soldered onto 20 gauge solid core copper wire. The airbag light did not go on.

All in all, it took the better part of four (4) hours to replace the seats. (There were hardware/mounting issues.)

Below are some pictures of the seats outside of the car, next to an original seat for comparison, the air bag wire -w- 3 ohm resistor, and finally, the seats installed in the car.

Nice seats ftbt. Look great, and the contrast with the Lapis Blue and red harnesses works well.

Andy:

I'd like to introduce you to Miss Cobra 2004:
(I wonder what it's like to be their ad director?)

The '04 one doesn't do as much for me. She lacks the "Dirty Phoebe Cates" look of the previous model.

Best ... movie ... ever:

So what are you going to do with your old seats? Are they for sale?

Sorry. They aren't for sale. Basically, I am keeping all of the original factory parts, even down to the nuts and bolts. If I ever sell the car, it can be returned to stock. Thanks for asking, though.
