Looking for around 250 HP for a 2010 MCS!

I have a MCS R57 Cabrio and want to know what it's going to take to get 250 HP!

Please post mods! I have searched around for a thread that goes over the mods!

Lots and lots of money. Along with a surplus of patience and solid engineering and fabrication skills.

an intake, exhaust and a rebuilt turbo (bigger wheels). You will need to tune the vehicle after they are installed. The whole setup will cost around 2000 dollars. you can expect 250-275 on a solid tune. happy motoring!

Further incase anyone is suggesting other wise I have the dynographs to back it up.

250hp is nothing. Now if you're talking 250whp then that's a different story...

Just a tune alone should get you pretty darn close if you're talking 250hp at the crank. A local stock MCS got tuned by RMW locally and registered 208 whp. So assuming 15% loss, that's 244? Otherwise exhaust and JCW turbo but that'll be big money. Just go with a methanol injection kit and a tune. Meth tuned would probably net you over 250hp at the crank.

FMIC, dp-back Akrapovic, DOS intake, and stage 3 cobb ap, 221whp, which is 260hp at crank. like i said, not hard to achieve.

Bahahahahahahahahahaha! ****ing hahahahahahahahah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You got about $10k laying around?
Here is my list and I should only see about 220hp/250tq. Yeah forgot that is to the wheels.
NM intake
NM boost piping
Helix inter cooler
Catless downpipe
Invidia Q300 exhaust
KO3/KO4 hybrid turbo
Forge Divertor Valve
Soon to be tuned to run all of this

I also have Water/Meth injection which needs to be reattached and set up properly

No but, to add another 30 to 40hp to that I will need another $4k to $5k. Roughly my list is $4800 not including all the crap to get it to run right which it still is not running right at the moment

I would be willing to bet (for the sake of argument only) if you ran a large cam and a tuned AP, you could break 250.

I believe killerfox got north of 240whp with meth tune. Simply bolt ons including intake, boost tubes, fmic, downpipe, etc. I'm hoping I'd get north of 250whp since I have the JCW turbo.

He posted a dyno chart on Jans forum. 220+whp without meth kit. I wouldn't be surprised if he broke 240 with the meth kit and meth tuned.

Meth injection in itself does not give you power. It gives you the ability to cool the charge to be able to run more advanced timing. Tuning for it will make power but slapping one on there will do nothing for you

Er no one said it would. Reread my posts, it always mention in conjunction to being meth tuned(aka tuned for meth). Regardless, someone posted the dyno. I know killerfox did the same but he has sold his Clubman since. I don't see why with a JCW turbo, you couldn't get north of 250whp.

250 at the wheels ladies and germs. Sorry for not clarifying earlier.

172 hp is a joke. under 200 ftlb torque is an atrocity.

Mel: Are you talking about drivetrain mod costs? Or total mod costs? If its total mod costs, it's pretty easy to blow by 10k ;( if its drivetrain mods, that takes some effort ;p

In response to someone who was claiming "mods" such as tinting, I made the all-inclusive list (I only put the important stuff in the signature black):

Aesthetic Creations Black Door Handles
Akrapovic:
Down Pipe
Delete R
Alta Blow Off Valve Spring Upgrade
Craven Stubby antenna
Defenders of Speed CAI
Forge FMIC
Helix Short Shift Kit
Hella Black Magics (w/HID upgrade)
H-Sport Rear Camber Links
Mini Fini Black Intake Scoop Grill
NGK Cold Heat Range Spark Plugs
NM:
ECU Tune
Aluminum Billet Tie-Bar
Discharge Pipe
Titanium Heat Shield
Torque Arm Insert
Shifter Assembly Box Cover
Quaife Limited Slip Differential (on 15 March)
Koni Yellow Sports (15 March)
TSW:
Performance Springs
19mm Sway Bar
X-Brace
Vinyl Styles: (all black out except JCW grill trim)
Headlight/Taillight trim
Gas Cap
Side Markers (smoked)
Boot Handle
Belt Line
VIP Custom:
Down Pipe Back Exhaust (last 1/4 powder coated black)
Driving Light Brackets
Whalen Shift ****
WMW:
Stainless Steel Brake Lines
Turbo Exhaust Manifold
Spacers (15 March)

Since I don't have the place, or skill to do the work, a little more than $3k is instillation.

Actually, after 15 March I will be $13k down. All worth it! Hopefully I (and my bank account) can take a rest! I doubt it...

Whatever it takes to bump the car up to 250hp at the wheels

It really takes a lot to get it to 250 to the wheels.
You are talking head work and turbo work. ALso a lot of tuning to get it all to run right. Take the MAF off and switch it for a Euro spec ECU and the sky is the limit.

What Porthos said... I'm never going to get there.
