I 2nd NM. It looks pretty nice too. A lot of people will probably say the DOS but I think it looks really stupid.

If you like sucking hot air, NM is the one. True cold air would be DoS.

Stock with a better dry filter.

Most of the intakes aren't truly 'cold air' and those that are bring potential for water/debris ingestion when fed from the scoop.

DOS looks to be the most functional but certainly the least attractive.

This looks promising, from what I gather, they are working on a version for use with the MAF. Good position to draw cold air, short path to the turbo Here's a write-up posted on this forum: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ng-review.html

The DNA system system reminds me of the Duell AG design:

I have a K&N Typhoon and it performs very well. No issues in 18 months other than a base-plate rattle at idel easily cured with 2 pieces of foam tape. It was under $300 and has a million mile warranty on the filter.

The OEM intake actually draws cold air from a snorkel tube that goes from the air box to the front drivers side grill. The DoS draws from this tube as well as from behind the firewall which is outside of the engine bay, thereby NOT sucking hot turbo heated engine bay air. The DDM Race Intake does the same in more of a ram-air looking way that is not really a traditional ram-air since a turbo sucks air and does not have to be force fed. Besides M7's seriously over expensive DDM-like system, these are the only two in general use that are out there.

As an aside, I like the way the DoS intake looks:

Clint at DoS is also great to work with.

Cheers!

It doesn't yet, Euro spec cars don't have MAF's. Also all this warm air intake/cold air intake stuff doesn't matter nearly as much as you think.

Had DDM Street. Then DOS. Now AEM. DOS wins in sound alone, but AEM I believe is best intake for performance...
