Cars runs like crap after FMIC installation

What's up with this? I just installed my intercooler and now my car runs like crap! At around 2-3000 RPM it will shake the entire car and then under heavy acceleration, the car is extremely sluggish! Do I have a leak somewhere? Something wrong with the intercooler? What's going on?

Obviously something is wrong. I would go back and check everything. There has to be something no hooked up. Perhaps some hose/piping wasn't tightened enough and blew off under pressure. It has happened to be.

Any CEL's?

No CEL's, the hose clamps were tight around the pipes. It ran like this as soon as I pulled out of my garage. It almost feels like I'm stalling the car (the rocking).

You def have something loose or disconnected. I've installed somewhere around 40 intercoolers on R56 and never had one run bad after install. There is no reason for it to as it is just a bigger cooler no moving parts to it.

I checked it all over again. I repositioned the hoses connecting to the intercooler and tightened as tight as it will go. That solved the boost problem and car is running normal now. One thing is the CEL is still on. P115D- anyone?

Fixed it! No more CEL. Checked it again and part of the hose that connects to the intercooler was caught up in another plastic bit that was attached to the car. Took a screwdriver and tucked it in and pulled it in really firmly and it slid another .5" onto the intercooler. Problem solved. Thanks for the help!

P.S. Get an intercooler if you don't have one.

OK, another off the wall question:
I installed my FMIC, and the minute I backed it out, now I have a sticky shifting issue? Seems perfectly fine from 1-3 then gets tighter from 4-6 shifts, with 6 the worse? The FMIC seems to be operating perfectly fine. I have driven it like this a 100 miles or so?

Any ideas? Totally unrelated?

Possible you have a tube or something hitting the shift linkage after you replaced the FMIC? There is a long 'bar' that extends towards the front of the car, located under the snorkel just behind the coolant reservoir. That 'bar' moves while making shifts.
