Drivetrain to dyno or not to dyno...?
break it in first and then dyno it, you don't want to put that much load on a fresh motor whose rings haven't even seated. I dynoed at ~4,000 miles for the 1st time with intake/exhaust and wanted to get an untuned stock pulley number and then go from there.

I agree here. The motor doesn't find it's stride until you get around 2500 miles on it. To dyno it much earlier wouldn't give you a "real" baseline to work with. Besides the main purpose for dynoing is to see the effect additional mods have. Since you're going to do multiple mods all at the same time a baseline would serve no purpose.
i wasn't going to attempt to do a HP-per-mod graph, but more of a dollar-per-hp-gain thing.... besides it would always be nice to know about whether you got one of those "strong from the factory" beast cars, or one of the natural slow cars...
but you make a good point about the car not really hitting its stride until its been broken in, so the dyno wouldn't be a fair reflection of the car anyway.
guess i'll pass then.
thanks for the input!
