Drivetrain Bad Idea
The very first race I did at Watkins Glen yeas ago, I had an '81 Volvo 240 Turbo, modded to the gills making almost 340 RWHP (on 25 psi boost, plus a slew of internal mods). It was a cold day, I ran Hoosiers, and had to get the car to a trailer on the other side of the track area. Well, it snowed between my last run and my move to the trailer (working the course is what kept me frmo moving the car right after my last run). SNOW plus Hoosiers plus ***-happy RWD makes for a real good time.

Old Volvos Rock! Learned to drive in an '74 245. And that replaced a '68 142. My sister ran the 142 for about 2 months without oil until finally siezed. I really loved the 142 as it was a 2-door. It had a slide-rule speedo. Tre-cool. Never got to drive it (as far as parents know).
I lost my RX-2 to a ditch because neither the ex-wife or the Pheonix 3011 tires couldn't handle rain.
I've lived in snow country all my life and am a firm believer in snow tires.
