The new set up
3-inch piping
3-inch HKS exhaust
Before install
After install
Now im only waiting on the rear bumper valance from the non-s (R50) to be completed.
Very satisfied with the install overall especially with how the car sounds. Ill post some sound clips later.
Many people thought the exhaust wouldn't fit saying it was too big or it would hang down too much, but after removing the stock exhaust, it fit just right.
Nice. Personally, I do not prefer the angle out, prefer it flush with bumper. Looks good though, HKS is a good brand exhaust. A sound clip and dyno run would be fun to see.
BTW: you might want to get some new tires. Don't know how the front are, but if they look like the rear you don't want to get on a dyno with them that bald.
also where did you buy that? i cant find it anywhere
No resonator. I also thought it would have been loud but I would say its in the same range as the Milltek and Magnaflow exhaust. It has a deep tone to it and it doesn't sound like a loud can when you press like some of these honda kids.
The shop I go to already had 3-inch piping made for the car so I just bought the pan from HKS and put the two together.
I'm surprised that more people don't go this route instead of the straight through/battery relocate route. Seems to be similar weight and performance gains.
Interesting install. I'm actually contemplating on making an exhaust system like that but with a chambered muffler & OEM size piping to keep it near OEM exhaust sound levels. Possible or not?

Its possible depending on the size of the exhaust which probably wont be bigger than the HKS I have here. At first I thought the HKS would have been too big but after removing the stock exhaust we had quite enough space.
