Akrapovic exhaust system question

I was not sure if anyone has ran across this exhaust system i was looking at all of the manufactures out there because i am looking at picking up one for my 09 MC S. This one was rather difficult to find I ran across it when actually looking for a exhaust for my wife’s motorcycle.

Evolution exhaust system for the MINI Cooper S (R56) / Cooper S Cabrio (R57) / Cooper S Coupé (R58)

http://www.akrapovic.com/car-exhaust...ng-3b8413edb9/

I was just wondering if anyone has used one I haven’t seen any videos online of this exhaust installed on a mini. I know Akrapovic makes some really good quality motorcycle exhaust systems.

I think im going get probably order the Akrapovic full system, forge fmic, and NM Eng fmic piping along with dos intake. Im still debating on picking up the forge bov also, I am probably going to get it tuned by evolve in the uk since im overseas right now.

Let me know how you like the exhaust. I am strongly considering the full Akrapovic exhaust in a few months.

I will be waiting till this winter over with to install it, seems counter productive to put a nice exhaust on just for it to get a salt bath the same day.

Akrapovic make great products and the MINI exhaust is no exception if you have the budget for it. The CF tailpipes are stunning.

Let us know if we can help you source it as we are an Akrapovic dealer.

For $1630 it better be impervious to salt...lol

Anyway, I watched someone get an Akrapovic (ahh-krop-ovitch, according to the folks that answer the phone), installed. The thing was a work of art. And it didn't seem to droan when I got I ride in it. I bought an Invidia, and only had it on for a week. I couldn't stand the droan.

I'm thinking about it, but damn, $1630???

if you get it without the downpipe and tips, its 1100.

But you need the tips. It's really just two skiny little pipes if you don't have them.

The exhaust will cost $1630... maybe we could convince somebody to do a group buy?

Turner? Are you listening???

I'll contact Marco and see what's what?

not if you put the right resonator in there. trust me if you do a bunch of looking into you can make an awesome exhaust, the only thing youll be missing is the label. and if you want an aggressive exhaust without the drone then res it and if it still drones then just dynomat your car and you will still probably be under 1k. im just telling you another option so you dont blow 1600. thats alot of money for something that has almost no benefit besides sound (not including DP or if you have a AP)

I used your invidia piping and mated it to a factory JCW muffler and it sounds good when i want it to with absolutely no drone.

You could always look into a Remus which has an adjustible valve that allows you to make your exhaust louder or quieter. The tips are changeable too, so you can have whatever suits your preference. You could then use the leftover money you'd spend otherwise on strippers and blow if that's your thing suppose. An exhaust is a pretty personal decision in any case, so good luck in your choice

Dynamat won't do anything to an exhaust system drone. It's not the car making the noise, it's the exhaust.

Anyway, houseboats, strippers, and drugs ain't got nothing on grown man toys. Race cars, or aeroplanes.... Those things will flat out make you go broke...lol

You have to figure in the extra cost after the stripper if you know what I mean.
