Drivetrain Twincharged MCS
The body kit on the '04 MCS is from Esquiss, imported from France.
Dyno sheet before and after installation of Twincharger Kit. The '04 made a little more horsepower stock than the '02 MCS. Looking at the A/F, I believe this is from re-mapping of ECU by factory.
The boost is set at 18PSI running on 92 octane.

Nice looking dyno plots!
I hope you can answer a couple of questions:
1.) Is 18 psi the highest reasonable boost level or have you experimented with higher? For example, could it be dialed-in for 300 crank hp and still give a reasonable life-span? (It's a dream I have).
2.) I have Sunoco 94 octane available in PA. Would this make much difference?
3.) How much water/alcohol would routinely be needed for the injection? Where do you get it? How much does it cost?
Thanks,
Gene

We will be attending the PDA (Performance Drivers Association) event at Watkins Glen, NY this coming Saturday, Oct. 9. We plan to test new parts and continue datalogging so that we can continually update and improve the performance of our products.
We will be also testing our new Sticky Pod and video camera setup, so stay tuned for the first official video of the SPI Twincharged Mini Cooper S in action.

Ginge: I think Hubie will post all the info after the car is launched at the SEMA show in November.
Sounds like a good idea, there are plans to be made to put this kit out and many would like to grab some of his final plans and details before the time is right.

Hot Dam$ thats the ticket! Looking forward to seeing this lil rocket and most of all hearing its fury!

Twincharged MCS JCW
I am awaiting the release of the kit and more details on it. I will most likely be in the order line as well.
One question....if the Mini the turbo kit is purchased for is an '03 with the JCW kit what kind of numbers do you think you would see and would the kit be just as reliable?
Man I wish I could be a SEMA

Plus with the JCW - you're also talking about wasting a lot of money b/c no dealer will touch a twin-charged MINI. So there goes your $4k warranty. So when you take off the pulley and put a stock sized one on, plus the ECU will be retuned for the turbo, you basically spent $6k on the JCW kit for the head!

Might as well put a stick of Dynamite under the hood and light it.

jklopmanCan it be done to the JCW if the pully was converted back to stock. Basicly leaving a better flow head and a more durable (ceramic tip) supercharger. Wouldn't that be a good combo with the turbo?
"If the pully was converted back to stock". It would help to have a larger intercooler. The Turbo builds additiional heat.
Otherwise that would be a great combination IMHO. FAST
