Data from autoX runs

I'm posting this to compare it later to the GP intercooler, the ambient at this time was aprox 76 f. date 4-17-11.(If anyone can find more accurate ambient temps based on time let me know, I couldnt) The logs are from the Torque android app

All units are metric, so i'm slower than it seems. also the kff1007 is bearing, cant seem to get rid of it.

First Run WOT Temp

Mid Run Temp

Idling Post 2nd Run

Highest temps were in this run, 70-74c

Later in that run the IC recovered quite quickly

All the full size screen caps are here:http://www.flickr.com/photos/ggcadc/...7626742550022/

I think this is going to be more valuable when I get runs with the GP intercooler on(should be here next week). hope this is useful for someone. let me know

You should try the BMW run events, you'll get a minimum of 11 runs! Next event is this Saturday in the west lot.

I would but they're more money(I see why now with 11 runs), and I work saturdays. Maybe at the next two day event.

Just curious, how much do auto cross events cost out west.
My local ones are $25, usually 4 runs, and takes all friggen day.
4 run groups
and you work the cones on one of those and drive one of course.
Tech by 9 might be done by 3:30
We usually have 75-100 cars 1 event a month..
Sorry to get off topic here..

thats fine, including temporary scca membership, i paid about $45, it's mor than twice that price for a bmwcca event, but includes a year membership i believe. this is off the top of my head, could easily be way off.

Well, the gp ic is installed, and driving around on the street actually doesnt look good, it seems hotter at idle, though im not testing in controled conditions so i dont really know. Not sure if something is really wrong or i just need to do more testing...

idling at 100f, not sure, but that seems high to me... heres a data pull from a quick run I did:

Max temp is 60c(140f) this is in 60f ambient temps as speed.

anyone else with the gp ic getting similar temps??

EDIT--after more data log digging
comparing a similar run on the same road (similar ambient temps) I was getting with the stock IC high 20's to mid 30's even up to 40c. now my temp seems to be staying the the mid to low 20's.

New DATA!!!!
Looks like the GP works better than I thought... I'll post more screen caps of the data tomorrow, but it looks like from the high temp, 74 with the stock IC, the GP maxed out at 66!

mid run temps look mid to high 50's vs mid 60's...
