Check out this thread. This if for the first gen MINI but it is similiar to the 2nd gen. I decided that 200.00 isnt too bad for the install. Not for the faint of heart....

Looks like a great setup. Report back on how it performs when you get it installed.

From what I've read it's an easy install, although you do have to drop the exhaust. If you can put your car up on jack stands it should be do-able as a garage project.

It's not that hard. It just takes some time, especially the first time you do it.

not to side track but is the nm shift box cover necessary? you cant fit the regular cover back on or is it just if its down all the way?

I believe you can put the stock one back on but you can't lower the short shift all the way which kinda defeats the purpose. You can leave it off as the exhaust shield blocks most everything but that was not acceptable to me so I purchased the cover from NM.

I just want my parts covered ...even if the exhaust shield blocks it ..it was still covered originally and now this allows for the extended ball to be covered.
