Ok needing some help here =(

about 4 to 5 months ago i installed a DT BPV which gave me my 16lbs of boost i was looking for. Since i have owned the car i was never reaching my peak boost because of the OEM BPV. Well im not sure how the 2 connected but i bought a new wheel and tire setup. After i got the new wheels and tired balanced and put on my boost gauge was not working at all. So i pulled my IC off and found the hose going to the FPR unplugged. Hence why my car was not driving correctly and boost gauge not working. Now that i have the hose zip tied to the FPR connector so it wont come loose again i am only reaching 13-14 lbs of boost. I am very lost as to why i am not reaching 16lb like i was before. Any insight of what could be my problem would be great i am trying to figure this out before the chance of a tune comes up.

have you checked the zip tie? when I fit a zip tie to my boost line, I had to be careful to keep it up high towards the base of the T-Joint. If it is down some it would slightly pinch some of the line throwing off my reading.

Might want to do a compression test on the motor first before you get that tune done :(

Its not about the boost, if that vacuum line has been off for a while, then its good to double check to make sure the motor is in good condition. That's all.

Yes, incorrects reading can effect what the ECU does. Prolonged time could effect the engine :|

dont get thrown off by what folks will post here, and dont go checking for exhaust leaks cause your windshield is cracked, some things are just highly unlikely to be related...

SMOKE MACHINE- that is your ticket to finding the problem... ignore everything else til youve done PROPER DIAGNOSIS one your vacuum sys.

any shop in your local area should have one, just ask a tech nicely and i'm sure theyll plop it on and see where you vacuum leak is at.... or, try this... a can of starter fluid/carb cleaner/ sometimes brake cleaner will work... let the engine idle and go under the hood where your vac lines are, spray around them lightly until you find a spot where the engine revs, that will be where your leak is...

WARNING: spraying highly flamable chemicals in the engine bay of a car is stupid and only something I would do, i'm not responsible if you blow yourself up

Uh, I'm really kinda lost as to how a wheel and tire setup is related to the boost line on the intake coming off?

You need to check items that affect boost. You found one end of that line off. What about the other end (13 in the diagram)? It's located at the center of the fuel rail and is connected to the fuel pressure regulator (7, 8, and 9). I'm guessing you tapped this line for your boost gauge. What about the hose between them?

How about the down tube to the DT BPV? Perhaps it has popped loose and is leaking boost. Could also be as simple as one of the two IC rubber seals and/or clamps is letting air by (I've caught myself not getting these to seat properly a couple of times).

Ok so i just got the car back this morning. I got inspection II done crank o ring pos sensor oil pan gasket, Valve cover all replaced as well as having a new 15% pulley belt installed and check for vacuum leaks but they said they found nothing so i then requested a compression test. Also had the supercharger serviced with new oil and there was no metal in it so thats good =D. 118k on my car to

Boost still only hitting around 14 lbs

#1 170 #2 160 #3 165 #4 165 i read above 130 is where im ok.

So now i am so lost i will order new Intercooler couplers even tho i have altas silicone ones on already and recheck my boost gauge connections to make sure all is well.

Well, if your butt dyno tells you nothing is wrong, then the only suggestion I can make is try another boost gauge. Yours might be defective. Mine is computer-controlled, and was acting wonky the other day. When I turn the power on (before starting), it zeros out. The gauge was reading like .2 bar. I reseated two of the wiring harnesses, and it's back to normal.
