Supercharger noise after pulley install

I would like to know if the SC noise is louder after a pulley install. I assume it is, but I am wondering how intrusive it is, or is it just mild.

Can't say it's any louder. You're just spinning the SC a little bit faster. So at 3K rpm, it sounds how it would today at 3450.

The supercharger noise is about the same with a pulley. If you have an intake you'll notice more noise with the pulley. Its a good noise though.

With a CAI and a modified cowl partition, i noticed a significant amount of S/C noise. Nothing insane, just sounds much cooler. Also, the CAI seems to suck in a little more air now. I love the sound, personally.

Personally, I like hearing the S/C whine...it nicely drowns out the rattling dashboard...

Some friends of mine affectionately refer to that whine as "A Thousand Screaming Babies On Fire".

I think it fits pretty well. lol

Mine made quite a bit more noise after I installed the smaller pulley, not a LOT, but the SC was definitely more noticeable.

But make no mistake, it is one of the sweetest sounds your MINI can make =)

Please...noise? That sounds like a pejorative the way it is used here. The whine is one of the things that keeps me on top of making sure everything is working smoothly for close to ever. The thought of having to replace my MINI with a turbo just makes me feel tired. SC whine is one of the many things that make motoring so much fun.
