Ceramic coated Riss Racing downpipe

Cost (when they were in business): $499-599.

Saving 320-420 dollars on their retail costs because they went under: priceless

I have a used Riss Racing catless DP on the way myself. Cost me almost nothing. Can't wait to get that thing in.

On a side note, I'm hearing that it will throw CELs. I'm keeping the stock exhaust in my car and just running the catless DP.

Have you heard of anybody with this set up where the CELs put the car in limp mode? I don't care if the CEL is on my dash, I just want to go faster then 35mph everywhere....

Yeah, it will obviously throw a p0420, that one is not a big deal.

NOW. p0128 and p112b. p0128 I would probably say means you have a problem with your intake manifold, OR an exhaust leak before the upstream o2 sensor. Check everything on your intake manifold including the filter fitment and MAF. If all is well, make sure the downpipe is torqued down properly to the turbo gasket, AND that the o2 sensor is snug. Don't try to remove it though, it's not worth it, if it's in, it's in.

I'm assuming the p0128 and p112b will probably go away if you find a problem with any of the above. Good luck.

I am getting lot's of emails. The entire system was changed as i had placed a GT28 RS Turbo and it needed a new style down pipe a 3", so i changed it all to 3".

The RR exhaust has two resenators on it, so it's not as loud as the original, but it's a very good sounding system and had the two large end tips on it as well. Yes, the down pipe is coated and catless.

Just make me resonable offer and if I'm interested i will respond.

Shane - that was harsh but I know lots of people were left hanging when they stopped answering the phones.

I have one of the RR catted/coated DP's and I've been getting a CEL (P0420) since day one with it. I was "lucky" and I did get the useless "fix" from RR and it's now collecting dust in my closet. I recently ordered a little device that's aimed at this exact problem. it's a stainless steel device that goes into the 02 Sensor bung and it has a grid/screen of catalyst in the end of it. The 02 Sensor then goes into that piece. The theory is that the extra catalyst will scrub the exhaust flow and slow it down just a bit so the downstream 02 Sensor "see's" what it's expecting. If the forecast holds up tonight and the rain stops, I'll crawl under the car and put it in. Results to follow but I don't have my hopes up too high. It'll will be cool if the P0420 issue can be fixed with a 40$ device. Hmmm, maybe I should see if the guy needs a partner if this works...

I snuck into Riss Racing's headquarters and managed to get some pictures of their super secret work. Here we see Adam & Anthony hard at work at what appears to be the latest O2 sim fix that will resurrect their business. This is proof that their vast engineering experience can support the MINI community!

LOL. I've been running the catless/coated dp on stock exhaust for about a year now. its a descent sound. Much better than my RR exhaust! 600 dollar dust covered box in my garage! the tips were shipped at different lengths!haha How does that rr exhaust sound with those resonators you installed?

I know I bash them a lot but that exhaust was so friggin' bad. I still use their catless downpipe that's been fabbed to fit my DDMWorks exhaust. The tone is incredible WOT. No rasp just *****!

I just installed my RR catless DP onto my 2010 MCS with stock exhasut. Sounds good, a little raspy but good. My CEL came on after about 3 hours driving but the car drives fine. Gave the car a nice kick in the pants though. I'm def $120 happy with this mod.

I'm still having good luck with the "MINI cat" from bigdaddiesgarage.com.

4 days with no P0240/CEL. I did get a brief CEL with a P0136 which suggests I was running a little lean but it went away pretty quick. I'll watch my AFR over the next few days to see if I can catch it leaning out a little.
