From my install, what I can remember anyway, I ditched the lower heat shield. You also have to modify the hole(in the heat shield) where the upper sensor screws into the dp.

The bolts on the lower heat shield are a pain! The clamp on the exhaust side is best reset using vise grips. 2 pairs. Don't forget to put the little gasket back in between the dp and the exhaust.

Post up here if u run into a problem. It's an easy install overall. Hope that helps.

I didn't have to modify the upper heat shield at all

Just use Alta's guide on their website for the install.

Wow, i had no idea it's been this long. I just had the time to put the DP on ebay and if anyone is interested, i also have the exhaust which i think it only had about 1-3 months on it.
