RMW tuned R56 driven by Ian Stewart terrorizes the more powerful cars at Sebring!
I just did a fun track day at Sebring. I was very fortunate to have Ian Stewart, an excellent driver who set lap records at many tracks, ride with me. Ian gave me some great tips on how to improve my lap times. I also wanted to see what my RMW tuned R56 could do in the hands of an excellent driver. So it was a real pleasure to have Ian drive my car and sit beside him. Ian did a fantastic job driving my car around Sebring and terrorizing the more powerful cars. The cars had no choice but let Ian pass!

I just hope I can drive like Ian someday! Ian, thanks again for everything!

This Sebring HPDE event was organized by a club called "Hooked on Driving". They are not as well known as some of the other clubs. I also do Sebring HPDEs with another club called Chin Motorsports. I have not done an HPDE at Sebring with NASA yet but plan to do so later this year.
Ian Stewart makes Corvette owners think twice about Minis lol. Especially that yellow Corvette that kept trying to power away from you in the straightaways. I also love the "for real buddy!" comments.

I can't thank Ali enough for letting me drive. The car is great and the power is also very good. Last time I drove it was before the tune and it's significantly faster out of the corners now. Before it seemed to have a fair bit more lag. Ali's car is TTD legal and even with the traffic and the rain I believe we ran under the TTD record. So this is going to be a contender when Ali shows up in TTD. It's still got a fair amount of on throttle push. Couple of places you let it walk away from the apex to stay in the throttle. A rear bar or a better diff would help that A LOT. I don't think he's got the points for the diff so maybe just a rear bar. I believe we were seeing about 125mph on the back straight. What's funny is the corvette's came up to us afterwards and swore we were pulling away on the straights.....

Let's do some test runs at Sebring with the new suspension when it's ready!

Sorry, I will be out of the country in June. Have fun at Sebring!
