Nice entertaining run as per usual, just out of intreast Ian why dont you drive first, wouldn't this show the driver what his car is capable off and give them more confidence?

Poor old Vette drivers

Paul, in a setting like that I'm not out to set the world on Fire. First and foremost my aim was to help Ali. I rode with him to pick up on things he could do to lower his lap time. Then my point in driving the car is to highlight specifically the things I saw and chat with him about it while doing so and run times comparable to what he should be able to run, and I have no doubt in my mind Ali will be a front runner in TTD, he's quite quick. Secondly most HPDE's will black flag you and bring you in and yell at you if you were to run a full blown qualifying lap dropping tires, jumping curbs and what not. Anyway in his run group you have to wait for permission to pass so running an all out lap also wasn't possible.

BTW, the Yellow Vette was 430whp and the two red ones were Z06's (460ish wheel) and one had slicks. That was neat.

Quote: I just did a fun track day at Sebring. I was very fortunate to have Ian Stewart, an excellent driver who set lap records at many tracks, ride with me. Ian gave me some great tips on how to improve my lap times. I also wanted to see what my RMW tuned R56 could do in the hands of an excellent driver. So it was a real pleasure to have Ian drive my car and sit beside him. Ian did a fantastic job driving my car around Sebring and terrorizing the more powerful cars. The cars had no choice but let Ian pass!

Here is the link for the onboard video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mVumEJiBNRQ

I just hope I can drive like Ian someday! Ian, thanks again for everything!
AWESOME!!!!

Quote: Sorry, I will be out of the country in June. Have fun at Sebring!
Will do. Maybe I'll see you there in the future. Looks like there is at least one other MINI that will be there, which is nice.

Quote: I won't be there with Chin, but I should be there the following weekend with NASA running in TT.
Hmm... not sure if I can get over there two weeks in a row, but I would like to see you and your MINI in action. We'll see. Either way, good luck.
