Firstly - thank you all for you replies, it is highly appreciated. Good input from certain people.

Im am happy with my cars suspension setup, its enough for me to enjoy, I do have sports suspension kit so it handles pretty well for me. I do know how to drive my car properly, Ive studied my dyno graphs, experienced different shift points etc.

I feel that the car does have good enough power but I will be happy with a little more. I would be even happy with 7-12 hp.

Seriously wouldnt mind going the cam,head,injectors route but that id do in the more distant future.

Is there anyway other way I can get 7-15hp ?

if you can do the install yourself, a cam would be $350-380 which isnt too bad. Its my next mod.

Cam is pretty useless without a head. Even so, larger injectors will be needed and a retune. Dont think it'll be worth it

A cam isn't useless without a head....the change in valve duration and lift will help no matter. A head compliments a cam and vice versa. Sure a head would be nice but you said you didn't want to spend that kind of money.
Nitrous is also another cheap-er power adder. definitely would give you more than the 15hp you are chasing.

I just skimmed this thread. I didn't see anywhere that you had a custom tune? If not that most likely will get you where you want to be.

The NS1 will do fine without a tune.

So do you have to have a header if you have a cam? I just bought an RMW cam and will be buying larger injectors soon. I don't have the money for a header right now, so if I don't NEED one i am not going to buy one.

You dont have to have a head in to fit a cam, its just that you wouldnt see wonders from fitting a cam without a head, so dont expect big numbers. Its also wasting money as with cams plus injectors, its important to have a tune. Then when you purchase a head you would have to get retuned again!

Nope, the stock header is fine.

Thanks! I know I would get better gains with a header but I don't have the money for one right now. Plus then when you get a header you should get an exhaust which adds more to the bill. Also, I don't really want my car to be any louder. For now the cam and injectors are enough for me, plus a tune by Jan.

BTW sorry to thread jack R53.

I think you are confusing yourself?
Header = branch manifold
Head = cylinder head

Nevertheless good luck with the cam, would be nice if you did a before and after to run to tell us the gains you've achieved with cam, tune and injectors.

Faster. Faster. Faster.....Lets see. Trade in your Mini for a stock Mustang GT. With the money leftover, chip, intake, and exhaust and you'll go ridiculously fast for cheap. As for the Mini, fast is not cheap. Faster is, though, and theres plenty of threads on that here.

Well either way as long as I don't need either of them I am happy. I'm a huge car guy, I just don't know a lot about engines...
