I noticed that the JCW kit pricing varies widely from dealer to dealer. Anyone knows which dealer has the best price?

I just got my S back yesterday and it is quite the machine now. 1250 mile break in still to go unfortunatley, but if it is any indication, this is going to be one great amchine to drive.

I got mine at Irvine MINI. They have more kits in stock as we speak and if you call and talk with Juan Lindoro in service, he can hook you up. I paid 4300 plus install, so it came to just over 6k. If you are interested, that is the place, and they are in stock.

For you guys out there, when you drop off the car and they ask you for a preferred service advisor, ask for Tess, you won't be sorry.

Great Motorin All

I paid $5500 for the kit and installation which I thought was a reasonable price. This did not include the Virginia sales tax (approx $200).

Maybe there is variation because there are many variables.
If you look at the whole installed price there might not be quite as much variation or maybe some places with lower prices don't have the kit in stock.

JCW kit price- supposed to be $4500. Can be discounted by dealer for BMW Car Club of America members- Dealer's choice on that. Maybe 10% discount- varies from dealer to dealer in parts dept.

Labor costs- Supposed to be at least 10 hours labor at the rate of the dealership which at mine is $100/hr. It really can take up to 14 hours per install and some dealers allow additional parts to be added at the same time as the kit like an intake or exhaust header. So real costs may be $1000 to $1400.

State tax- Varies from none to 8+% on the whole sale so from $0 to $400+.

Return of core parts to factory or JCW-cylinder head and Supercharger stock parts are sent back. Who pays shipping on these? Some people said they were not charged separately and some claimed they are charged. Hidden costs?

Generally I would say that the price total should come out to about $5500 to 6000+. Ask before you buy and also about what their wait time is for the kit and the install. You generally buy and install the kit at one dealership.

So far, the best price I found is $5500 installed and yes, they do have it in stock! $4500 for parts and $1000 for labor. I wonder if the price will go down when Dinan kit is available?

We paid $5,500.00 installed on our 04 MCS. I did not feel that $1,000.00 to install was a bad price. I have installed superchargers and replaced heads on some of my vehicles and their estimate of 10 hours of install time is not out of line.
