from BBR's website (http://www.bbrgti.demon.co.uk) :

"The BBR Phase 3 includes phase 2 with the addition of BBR's twin high flow intercooler assembly. The conversion maintains the original top mounted intercooler and in addition uses a secondary front mounted cooler. This includes all related pipe work, clamps and fixtures, and as with all our conversions BBR custom mapped software."

Unfortunately there are no pics.

I am just trying to figure how they woudl do that. I wonder if that set up will suffer from a pressure drop but will the lower temps compensate for that? Interesting!!!!!

im using a nitrous spray ring on the topmount intercooler on my wrx.
i'd opt for that since its cheaper to do (probably) and lots more efficient.

but make sure the fuel injectors and ecu can handle the extra
psi before blowing up the motor. (you'll probably just get a cel at the
worst case though).

Thanks Kenchan!

No, it's Latin and it means "Now Kiss My Rear Wiper".

It's actually "88" half blown off the car from doing 115 down the back straight at the Glen.

This seems stupid unless you have a turbo. You dont want to loose boost. More piping and wide open intercooler = severe boost loss.

What are they thinking

I like the Latin version better.

Coopertino, maybe that explains why BBR GTI got the worst review from EVO Nov03.

So then what do you think of the cold "stuff" intercooler sprayers?

easiest way to get more boost is to chill the intercooler. but im not
familiar with the mini's ECU and how it will accept/reject the frigid temps.

at this momement, i would be worried about the clearance of the scoop.
not sure if you can route a 6AN fitting tube in there. the solenoid will
definitely be have to be placed elsewhere.

do they sell rings with the fitting facing outward like that instead of perpendicular to the ring, or did you cut/weld it?
