Loss of power/cel after exhaust depot exhaust install

Installed exaust depot DP and full 3' catback yesterday on my 2010 mini S, has 7K on it. Everything installed fine, both heat shields are currently off because they were too much of a pain getting back on (will put back on later) DP is fully wrapped. I didnt notice that rush of power everyone brags about with the Dp but didnt think much of it, sounds great and all. the second day im on about 40 miles with it so far and I noticed that when going into first up to 4k RPM its nice and then gets kind of silent and creeps to redline, same as 2nd/3rd gear the power is just not there, and then the CEL came on. what could it be? is it possible its something stupid and simple like a small gasket leak that needs tightening? any imput is appreciated thanks.

Do you have access to a code scanner? The CEL could be on for a variety of reasons and without the code, any answer would only be a guess. It would be worth taking a look at the connections to the 02 sensors to see if one of them came loose or isn't connected properly or maybe even if the sensor itself is loose in the DP.

If a Moderator will move the post, we can continue without upsetting the 1st GEN folks. There are a few folks on NAM that could answer the question better but there is a chance that the CEL (or the cause of the CEL) is keepign the ECU from letting the car run normally. These darn cars are pretty smart and they will protect themselves if they sense things are wrong. That said, I've got a RR catted DP and Borla sport exhaust on mine and I did see a change in how it runs - mostly with the DP. Seems to pull stronger and, to me, seems to have a flatter power curve.
