Houston Area Tuner Recommendations:

I'm looking for a tuner to install my puley and custom tune my mini.
I have found a couple of choices around Houston,TX
1. Bavarian Hypersports
2. Eurocar Wekrs

Anyone have experience with either shop? THX

I did not know either of those did ecu tuning -- what price did they quote you?

As far as mechanical work I have used and like Gas Head Mortorworks.
http://www.gasheadmotorworks.com/

They also give a 10% discount to HMMS members
Do you go to any of the meetings?

Your #1 option went out of business about a year back, sadly. And i dont think anyone in Texas can give you an actual ECU Tune. They may try to sell you a 'flash' but it just isnt the same.

Look up metroplexmini.org, there is a tuner coming to the DFW area, and that might be your best shot.

Mynes is coming to Houston in April for the ABF tour -- if we got a group together quickly we might could arrange something in Houston.

count me in. i don't belong to any groups or even know anyone else who mods their minis.
I know of some other shops in the area who do mostly corvettes and camaros. Wonder if hennesee would do something, they are around houston? I dont need a 600 hp twin turbo mini, just a few extra ponies is all im asking.

Let's see if we get any more response, if we do I can pursue MYNES.
Prices for a Gen1 are usually $400 plus dyno rental time at approx $125.
Gen2 are about $500 plus dyno.

No unfortunately The BMW MINI requires a very specific equipment to tune, and their are only a handful of MINI Tuners in existence.

I just looked at the Mynes tuning planned for DFW area. I honestly don't think my car is or will be that serious. I am throwing a pulley and exhaust, not getting into head, cam, or anything radical. Is there anything plug and play that's worth purchasing? Once again Im going CAI, cat back exhaust and 19% pulley. ThX
