Until you get a big turbo upgrade like the GT28RS, the difference will be negligable. Save you dollars and buy better brakes, suspension, and tires.

Money wasted on pretty fluff . Don't succumb to silly marketing. Buy Jan's tune instead.

Does this mean Alta's Dyno graphs are completely bogus? I'm not sure, just asking. I bought into it, but didn't do before and after dynos so am unsure if it helped HP or not. I certainly don't think it could of hurt since the tubes are smoother inside and more direct (Less restrictions=better airflow). It seems interesting that Alta then came out with a hardpipe after sticking by their silicone pipe so long.

We decided to go to a hardpipe to do numerous delays with our silicone manufacturer.

I definitely felt power gains with all of the boost tubes, I'm not sure if just one will add a ton. But i have the turbo inlet, hot and cold turbo tubes and after the install i felt a nice gain....

Not sure how much of a difference the hard one will be over the silicone tube but once i drop in my GT28RS I am definitely switching over to the hard tube...

I think many here can attest that by replacing the cold side and hot side boost tubes with either large diameter metal or silicone did help a little bit. Both OEM pieces have restrictions in them especially the hot side tube with that damn muffler! From my experience I noticed slightly better torque across the entire engine speed range. The turbo inlet might make a microscopic difference with the OEM turbo setup with regards to power/torque, but it's definitely a nice showpiece under the hood.

There are so many smart people with dynos and shops that could provide information and results as high as Mt. Everest that is completely opposite of what you just said. I know, I know, they don't own the most awesome mini on the planet like yours, but I think their knowledge and experience could negate that.

I have a dyno

Alta seems to be the only company marketing boost tubes that claim added hp

They will free up air flow which will add some hp but, not 10 sec inducing power.

A wise decision indeed.

I've always been against the silicone tubes you guys offered. But now you are talking with hardpipe.

I've known a few people with enough money to buy a dyno but too few brains to do anything with it.

It makes power! I have been present at the dyno runs and seen it with my own eyes. We are thankful to have an in house dyo where we can spend our weekends swapping parts on cars and tuning our own cars. Heck, our R53 Air intake hose made 5whp on my GP! I know this doesn't say much since I work at ALTA but it does make a difference.
