I'll preface by stating that I have a 15% TMS pulley, Borla exhaust, and Conforti chip.

I hooked up my Glowshift mech. boost gauge yesterday and the first run out, it was pegging 15 lb's which I was pretty happy about. Later that night, I noticed it was only hitting 12-13 at redline.

I thought it had something to do with the intercooler couplers (didn't degrease them before reinstalling) or vacuum line connection, so i tore it all down today and redid everything. I am still only getting 12lb's of pressure.

I know the gauge is on the cheaper side, so I expect about 1lb or so of inaccuracy, but I am just curious as to why it would hit 15 on the first run, then progressively lower from then on out. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

EDIT: Was a boost leak at the IC boots. All fixed.

 

First things first, confirm that your readings are accurate with another 'good' gauge. Then start the witch hunt. I've seen many hours and head scratching going on when there was actually no problem, just bad data.

How does the supercharger sound to you when you're stomping on the gas?

 

Normal I guess? There's no grinding or anything if that's what you're referring to.
