Did you name the shop that did the work? I know that people make mistakes and that is fine. But they need to admit to it that they made the mistake if you find that the SC was damaged by their improper install. Give them the chance to make it right for you, but if they refuse to own up, then its time to play hardball.

Thats the horrid sound, but the video makes it seem louder.....

And as you can tell, it goes away within a minute or 2.

You need to do something about it. The longer you wait, the lesser your chances become of getting it fixed.

It could be a whine from belt alighnment...it could be low on oil...and once the is sprayed around...the whine stops.
Either way...the longer you wait... The less chance anything good will happen in you favor...heck if the shop warrienties work for 30 days....
Did you ever look around the nose drive for oil leakage like helix+wmw suggested? The long you wait, the more likely the parts dammaged will be junk, rather than needing a new gasket/seals.

That is definitely not normal at all. When the car is at idle, you barely hear any noise from the SC. That is definitely something going on. If the shaft moved out 1/8 IN that is not good for the SC life. I would not wait at all.

Also no ifo on miles on the car it came from...for $600 you can get black coated SC with a couple hundread/a few thousand miles...for 500$ you can get a rebulit unit with a warrenty from an iffy rebuilder in fla...and use the old one for a core if it is acceptable stiill...about an extra 200$ for a core charge if it not rebuildable...
