Rear O2 sensor? Messing with things?

I have a non-catted race header and am throwing the code stating as such. Does this code affect fuel trims or ignition maps? I'm having issues with 2500-4000 stuttering and what I would consider substandard city MPG. How much does the rear O2 affect the ECU etc...
Thanks!

From what I have read hear on the forums, the ecu gets it's info from the front o2 sensor...the rear one just monitors the health of the cat. Not sure if it then reduces engine power or anything though to encourage you to get it fixed.

you should get a O2 simulator to fake a good signal to your ecu.
http://www.o2simulator.com/ they work great

If you have a non-catted header, then the #1 ecu is most likely getting data that is inaccurate....and it is messing with the ecu. Sounds like you need a o2 simulator....it will get rid of the light, but may not return your mpg, as it will be getting best guesses fo readings, as opposed to actual rich/lean info. Good luck!

Does the O2 simulator allow to remove the rear sensor completely or do you splice that into the wiring for it?
