"Never assume anything" I sprayed that on my mates workshop wall when we were told the cam that he was fitting didn't need the valve to piston clearance checking by the porfessionals who sold him the cam. All the brand new expensive valves bent

Go back to the dyno and check the A/F, we dont want you to come back on here and say that you seem to have lost power and no compession on a cylinder.

So cruise around on light throttle until re-dynoing as your road tune has obviously been done with very little boost

True, and if he has any sense of integrity he will do it at no charge or at least severely discounted. What is being said about the possibility of leaning out is very possible given that you now basically have a fuel map that has NO compensation for boost. Be careful, dont run you engine too hard or too fast.

Yep... what he said.... better to be safe than sorry

It's just sad that it took almost 100 posts on a forum to get this problem figured out; whereas any good mechanic would have been able to figure this out in about 15 minutes... I guess you live and learn

There are quite a few "good" mechanics here on NAM who only deal with MINI's and despite comments like yours chose to help vs. passing over the topic.

as i recall bpv was brought up fairly early but the op was vasilating . and this is not a professional repair site but a bunch of enthusiasts trying to help each other .even though it may take longer;it keeps some from being raped by the stealers. that's worth a few posts i think .

It's sad . It's awesome the community helped to fix his problem and he saved money.

The sad part is finding a good mechanic .

Jan did a tune 'n' dyno on my car as well, i did it down in Austin during late spring early summer( so low to mid 90's) i got 174.73 whp with tune, exhaust, headers, 15% pulley, coil and wires, intake. He told me it that the reason of lack of power is because the supercharger was running hot and that it needs to be rebuilt. but i honestly believe it was my intercooler that was suffocating my car.

Reviving the dead I see? Anyways unless your stock IC is damaged or leaking it'll be fine all the way up to at least 225hp without major heatsoak, even more if you use a PWI..

If your SC is failing it will run hotter than usual and not even a damn GRS FMIC will help you.
