Super Damper Crank Pulley from WMW. Has anybody installed this yet? Looks like a nice product.

ATI has designed a 5.5” damper -- Part # 917992 -- for the Mini Cooper standard and S engines. This new design is a direct replacement for the stock OEM Mini Cooper and Mini Cooper S damper from 2001 through 2006. The heart of this unit is the tried and true “damper within a damper” design that has put ATI ahead of the rest. The outer shell has been machined to allow OEM serpentine belt locations, and includes laser-etched timing marks.






Saw them only after finding an OEM 06 pulley....the even sorta look like an 05/06 pulley....

 

I have the ATI Super Damper on my MINI.

 

Really ?! How do ya like it.....sounds great in the write up. Is it realy 6lbs lighter than the O6 pulley ?

I weighed my 03 Pulley, and then my replacement 06 pulley....it was a 3lb difference....

 

$425. holy moly!!!! why?

Steering wheel buzz is gone, 2lb. & a few ounces lighter.

 

OEM 06 crank pulley is $450

 

So thats it...get the ATI Super Damper (everyone should have this IMO)
