Drivetrain New RMW Power Numbers - 277hp
Some would argue road racing is in fact harder as they car actually has to last more than a dozen seconds to amount to anything, let alone win.
Scared
.It's not about scared it's about the fun factor. I've been down the 1/4 mile and the amount of time and effort it take to get few second ride blows.
I go to the local carting track twice a week and the fun I have doing that blows away all the sitting around I did at the drag strip.
Bryan
Thing is Paul you keep trying to use the 1/4 mile as a measuring stick to compare horsepower/mods/tune/etc as if a 1/4 mile of asphalt is a 1/4 mile of asphalt wherever it is.. Way to many varibles; altitude, humidity, temps, condition of the asphalt itself just to name a few to use this... If it were true Mr Coil would tell John's boys how he wants the engines built and then sit back in his easychair and watch the NHRA season go by...
Basically the same thing Jan's been trying to say I think about dyno's and when and where you do them and the METH gives a more consistant reading because the IT's are more consistant... Correct me if I'm wrong Jan.

And I am sure if your car ran good times at either track, you and your partner would be posting the records "AT THE TRACK!!!" lol! This stuff is hiliarious.
Alright guys I am done here, have a great time talking back and fourth in circles. Good luck
And Big Howe, great numbers by the way, I forgot to mention that to you before.
1. Maybe this guy had a BV head and didn't know it?
2. Maybe he's running a 22% pulley and a cam or something?
3. Maybe he had a really, really, REALLY, strong car from the factory?
4. Maybe hes not telling the truth?
5. Maybe the dyno reading was high?
6.?
Now lets go back thru these and look at them.
1. Naa.
2. Naa
3. Naa
4. Dont think he would do that, as he got a slip.
5. Seems to be the most logical.
6.?
So?
Yes and on the day it made 331bhp with the IAT starting at 50 (after burnout)and reaching 70c, where as on the road its going from 25 to 45c under the same accelaration tests.
As I've said many times before MPH / weight = Horsepower, forget the ET.
The slicks were actually circuit slicks not drag racing slicks and the 60ft was 2.6-2.7 with them, so with the right launch technique it'll go faster.
I reckon at the BMW show in Sept the car will go 111+mph
You have to remember the fastest Jans El D (his drag car) has gone is 14.2, and he has had loads of drag racing experience.

BUT YOU SAID THE CAR MADE 330WHP NOT BHP
JAN NEVER DROVE HIS DRAG CAR..... EVER.... what he drove was his street car with 280whp ...
Yes Paul, that "drag racing experience" was in BB Chevy's that are RWD
Glad you agree that all these things make a difference
Please take out your trusty calculator and run 280whp on a 100deg F day in Palmdale at 2600ft and see if it isn't faster than a 13.8 in England
I find it hilarious that my "drag car" was my daily driver...... wow facts have gotten real short around here
So? Guess I will try and answer it myself. Lets throw out some ideas on how these numbers could be made.

I think we were referring and talking about the twin-charge (EL D) car that Hubie made for you, and you drove it back and fourth from Irvine to Phoenix on 16th St and Thomas to be exact. We are talking about the one you ran with the twin-charge (EL D) and ran 14's at Palmdale, should post the video on YouTube and share the link, or should that get dropped? We are not talking about the drag car that was built at DRS then to Gintani and suppose to made 600whp and ran 9 seconds.... no not that drag car Jan. So which drag car you didn't drive...? I think everyone can guess now... it sure wasn't the 600whp 9sec one. Because you said it yourself, you never drove your drag car.

Exactly my point, thanks!

You caught that! Nice... did that on purpose. Figure out why.

Do I need to dig up the voice recording my man? Didn't want to go there, but..... It's not even worth my time, everyone knows so what's the point.
Yes, But I don't think you or Jan understood Paul's post.
I love the way you write because I get ***** all the time for my spelling or lack of. Spell check can help me but for you not so much.
See, I can keep you here all day
.LB
. And I don't mind being here all day, maybe some truth will spill out by keeping me here.
There is a Tube link here.

post whatever you like.... as I said... a daily driver is NOT a drag car but if it makes you feel like more of a man.... then good on ya
btw.... did you do the calculations yet? A sorry *** twincharge went faster on street tires...... corrected........

but here is the stinger........... yet...... YOU BELIEVE Mikes car with a bone stock car with STOCK pulley made 170whp on a Mustang dyno and you DON'T question it......
strange I tell ya...... strange............
Wish is granted... maybe some pics of a block and rod for the frosting on the cake.
this is what the customer said it was. I have NEVER seen the car before.... it is what he says it is.....

Edit: sorry jan already responded to this (crappy iphone)
Ask your friends at Mynes about strong cars from the factory. Their shop r53 got 171whp bone stock and 191 whp with just a tune (stock pulley). Or do you only question results from Jan?
