Thanks for the followup. I'm dropping the MINI off Monday and leaving it with them for two weeks. I shared with Anthony that what the Cooper S needs is improved intake and exhaust manifolds, he said they are in development or planning.

the catted downpipe looks really interesting, but I'll second Boomers concern w/ the lack of a lower brace. 3 things good downpipe needs, no CELs (without a sim), fits under stock heat shields, and the brace.
The extra bung is a nice bonus !

I think I am going to buy that catless downpipe plus the O2 simulator as soon as they have it available.

Looking good...I agree with Nitro though, but having that extra bung is nice...get some very accurate AFRs.

This could be a future purchase...

Have you dyno'd yet with this on the car? What are gains from this?

Edit: Just noticed the bottom of page 2. Hope all goes well!

Sounds like a great guy! This is some interesting stuff. I hope it all works out well!

What about people who have a aftermarket catback though? Most of us do, will this system mate with all the ones out there? Also, is it a 2.5 inch system or 3?

Thanks!

Also 3" is a bit over kill, look at other 4cyl turbo cars such as the Evo or STI with displacement ranging from 2.0L to 2.5L with 16G turbos ... much larger displacement, and much larger turbos. The K03 and K04s on our cars dont need that big of a downpipe.

As for exhaust I beleive these mate up with stock exhaust perfectly so if you can run stock downpipe with your aftermarket exhaust these should work fine with it.
Totally agree with you!

Agreed 100 percent. Unfortunately for me, I jumped at the first system possible for my car at the time which was ALTA, so I have a 3 inch system. So unless I change the exhaust system, this is a no go for me. Depending on the results put down by the dyno, this may be an excuse for me to do the exhaust system over and do it right this time...Not that the ALTA is a bad system, but there are so many more options now.

Thanks again for the info and keep us posted on the results!

3) The braces as on the N54 downpipes we make are unnecessary. The pipes are much lighter, and there are no vibration issues. We made the downpipe so it's purely bolt on. This requires no cutting of the exhaust, and it mates up too the OEM flex section. So there is no major stress on the downpipes. If it's something you guys really want added this is not a problem to do. We appreciate your feedback so keep it coming!
How do I go about ordering a catted, coated version with the brace.

Cheers!

I could have sworn I read they were doing 2.75"?
Did they settle on 2.5"?

Tried calling 714-850-0139-----no answer!

Tried emailing sales and got the following:
Not Found

The requested URL /alpha/sales@rissracing.com was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I'll ask my questions here:

The coating: Does it have any insulation qualities (ceramic) or is it just cosmetic?
How many cels are the cats?
Is the brace available and is there an extra charge? How much is the charge?

The piece looks really good but how do I reach you guys?

Cheers!
