Jan - I would love to hear an update from you as to the progress of the R56 tuning. It looks like you have quite a few done now and I am wondering what you think of the tune so far, how you think the tune will evolve over the coming months, what mods do you see working best with your tune, etc.? Jan speaks nothing but the truth. I have been so caught up with driving the car that I haven't submitted them to youtube. Yes, they are done and I will try and get them up by friday! Jan - I can't tell you how impressed I am.


When the map is out, please tell us!! Hybrid turbo I'm assuming? I've contacted a couple places so far...only one response and to my surprise they were already working on a turbo upgrade for the R56! Throw your meth kit in...looks like some serious HP/TRQ!

 

Hey Jan, I remember you mentioned something about Rochester and PA. Are going to do tuning/dyno days while there? If so I need to contact people and get involved for this!

 

yes, I will be in contact with Ekstens in Rochester today to finalize as we will be at Watkins Glen around the 4-5th of June

and then in Carlisle PA the next week

 

With any luck will the VVT map be done by either of these dates?

Hey DT, did you contact gpopshop.com about a hybrid K03/K04 turbo? I sent them an email over the weekend and they said they were currently doing one and to check back next week. Just wondering if that was the same shop you were referring to.

Yes, they were one of the companies I contacted and I also contacted Blouchturbo.com since they are closer to me. Hope to hear good things from them.

Hey guys...have been driving the R53 with Jan's tune since last thursday...two words...day...um!!!! What a difference...amazing...I actually have to be careful not to do burn-outs (have stage 3 clutch)...Jan..no more pinging as well. I am really impressed. Also have hooked up the water spray diverter...love the way car rides...sweeeeeeeeeeet!

No problem I'm really hoping to get an R56 out here, so far all we have are R53's. I want to see what an R56 will do!

 

Guarantee I will be there as your R56 example if Jan can get this VVT map for the car. Otherwise, I may take a ride to see you guys get tuned...

Like I said, I'm there if he gets that map in time!
