I have a MCS 2002 with 65,000 Km. and been driving it. Sometimes the EML light comes out and the car loose power. To resolve the problem, the car is moving I press the accelerator all the way, press the clutch, turn the ignition key off and on will accelerating al the tome. And the EML light comes off and the car recovers the power. They chenge de manifull and its doing the problem agin.

Can anyone tell me what the problem is and what are the parts that I have to change?

what part(s) were changed prior to running into this problem?

What year is your car? what mods? the more info you provide, the easier it is for us to trouble-shoot and provide u suggestions. Also a spell check would help too

I´m from mexico, sorry for my spelling.

I change the band of the enging on november 2008, then the clutch on february 2009. On march started the problem and a week ago the acceleration manifull.

My car is a Mini Cooper S Chili 2002 with 65,000 km.

ok, let me get this right:
- "band of the engine"? =?
- changing of the Clutch in Feb 2009
=> EML light problem starts
- changing of the intake manifold (acceleration manifold?)

Did i get the order correct? Do you have any leaks in the intake manifold? can you do a leak test?

 

wow..i have an 06/02 mcs...i change clutch and the same thing...eml light comes on and it goes into limp mode.....did you get this resolved...they told me the troutle body was bad..i change it...same thing....

 

See if this is throwing a code or two. Get an OBD-II code reader for a read-out. "Change the band of engine"=Changed the serpentine belt? If so, you may not have the right size and it's slipping. If so, it can cause the symptom you're experiencing.

 

will check tomorrow...the code i was getting before is with the troutle body....i change it out and samething...
