Drivetrain Mynes Tuned... is yours? (R53s)
Moving is NOT fun, but it was the right thing to do considering all the logistical requirements of this new program. On the plus side, the weather here is AWESOME
And the people are great... can't compliant :DU still in the UK? I'll have those NS1's here by next week, do u still need one to test? LMK
Thumper, we'll be all over the US next year in supporting the ABF Road Tour (press release will be announced on Monday or Tuesday)...

Cool.. next year will be good.
I recieved the Cams the day AFTER I left, so when I get back I will do the dynos on the cams..
Thumper
I had mine tuned last week after adding the 550cc injectors. With a stage 1 head, OBX header, custom straight out exhaust, Magnaflow highflow metallic cat, 15% SC pulley, 2% crank pulley, Water/meth, electric waterpump, urethane engine mounts/TSW torque damper, flux capacitor(plasma booster), Brisk plugs, Turner race wires, Screamin Demon coil, DFIC, umm... oh and m7 AGS.
Ok I think thats it. I had been having problems with a long start when the car was hot and had been sitting for more thn about 20 minutes. The tune fixed it. The only changes between this tune, and the last dyno day results were the electric water pump, after removing the OEM mechanical waterpump, and the new injectors. I went from 216whp/161wtq to 244wh/179wtq. It also got me a 4mpg improvement in my mileage.

Everyone knows fast cars make good power under the curve and peaky numbers are for dyno queens...

Let me ask you this: what wins a race, HP or Torque?

Hi Mike,
Sorry, I was not knocking your tunes. You are correct, the MCS power is much more linear than my EVO.
You answered my question..
Do you ever come up to the Bay Area for tuning?

It's just that these Mini's have a very different power plant that needs to be understood. We'll be in SF on the weekend of the Sept 12/13, 2009... announcement is forthcoming.
you got PM.
i was the guy who was tuned on saturday (post #124) and i have to say it is the best mod done to the car. i came from nor cal so i had to drive on the mountains before i hit LA and i had to go wot to pass some minivans... my car always felt sluggish no matter what. i got 185whp with 193wtrq on their mustang dyno. now the throttle reacts a whole lot quicker and it pulls a whole lot smoother and strong from beginning to redline and i didn't even need to go wot to pass the fast traffic on the mountains (hurried home safely
to go to work the next day). it got even better when i put back my 45 series tires with 16's
. overall was worth the one day trip and will travel again. mike and jason were very professional and still acted like a couple buddies with me and my friend. hubie fuh was there but he had to go out to take care of business, but he still went out of the way from his flow just to introduce himself- good guy period

here's the dyno tune video: http://www.facebook.com/?ref=home#!/...8464065&ref=nf
and here's the dyno graph:
overall gained +25 whp and +9 wtq from installing a cam and mynes tune; if the numbers are accurate i've gained +63 whp over a stock 03 mcs. wheeeeeeeeeeeeee and i have a jcw exhaust to be installed this sat!
