Drivetrain Mynes Tuned... is yours? (R53s)
What have you added to this thread? Nothing. Simply taken it off topic and made such great comments as "...thats kinda weak.." "....you should be pulling..." and ".....on average the numbers are..."
THAT my friend is weak.
What are you so threatened by? You are not going to buy any of these parts or get a tune by them so please, pray tell what is your point here in this thread?

and besides i saw something that looked odd to me and i commented on it...everyone is allowed to have an opinion i just voice mine...habit of being in the military and being required to say what i have to without tact at times
oh and my comments about it being weak were taken out of context...i never said weak as in it sucked...it just seemed"weak" because of the numbers posted and i know people who have many if not the same mods and have produced more hp/tq...like i said i call it like i see it
Well I stand corrected Mr. FU.
Ok, back on track boys and remember, only positive posts please
Longboard
im going to continue to be skeptical until i see a consistant body of work...i know jan's products work and i know he has an impressive resume and tuning ability...which is why i trust him and his work...im not going to swing to an upstart and start singing his praises just because he tunes evo's and other imports...those tuners are a dime a dozen...there are only a handful of mini tuners so consistency and quality are key
Why don't you dyno your car in Mustang Dyno?

1. How your car was running before our tune?
She was running just fine. The day before I had a head & cam install at Johnny's...
2. How it runs after the tune?
Afterwards she runs fine also. Not much difference down low, but above 3k, quite noticeable. How much was the head, cam or tune... I don't know.
3. What mods?
Engine / drivetrain wise...
HAI, 15/2, DFIC2, 380's, Cosworth BVH, new plugs, Newman Cam, SuperSprint header (ceramic coated & stock cat) and 2.5" straight exhaust
4. Any issues or problems with your MINI after the tune?
None. No lights or anything like that. This tune was done almost 2 months ago... The only "problem" is the increased noise, which is to be expected when pumping more air; and attributable to head, cam and tune... I have a straight exhaust, so louder than most.
5. What suggestions do you have for us?
Find a way to do a remote tune and/or at least travel the country to help others
I don't know... These threads, that one in particular, should prove to be be quite helpful as a repository of information.Someone asked earlier about how many pulls are needed to get a tune. I suppose that might be case dependent, but on mine, we did a dozen or so as I recall, spaced about 10 minutes apart.
Hubie made it clear early-on that his dyno reads lower that most and if I'd be cool with that. As we see in this thread, that seems to be a concern for some. Not for me. I just see it as a tool, and want to use the same one, at the same location and ideally with the same operator...
Thanks much.
Still having fun with it?
Yes, I was informed that 550's would be the way to go if I wish to extract more power. I wish I would have known that prior to the tune. I had so much done before finally getting a dyno tune, that too should have happened to maximize the session. Oh well... That's ok. Give something to look forward to I guess...
Hubie also noticed that the SC belt tensioner was bottoming-out, at the positive stop. He recommended a new, smaller belt. I haven't yet done so as I want to remove the A/C, and I'll take care of it then...
I live in a canyon, so yes, still having fun with it! Plenty busy at work though...

Was this a joke? Or does your car really go into limp mode at 139mph? Sorry, I didn't get it. I was just reading this thread and this comment struck me as weird AZ
. He was just joking... Sush, "limp mode" does not impress the girls, somebody has given you bad advice

Hubie also stocks them at his location
Cheers.

Nice, I thought it must be a inside joke or something
I saw one in Seattle Tune 10/2008:
RMW BVH
Newman Cam
440 cc injectors
RMW Headers Shorty
Miltek Catback
234 wHP/7600 rpm Dynapak
177 wtq/5320 rpm
It only shows that numbers vary from car to car.

Or I can say...whoa... the power is there, but that torque is kinda low. Every car will react differently to mods. Same as if every MINI that is built from the factory have the same running values, then it would be no need for BMW/Siemens engineers to add adaptations (learning) into the software right?
Maybe not the right thread, but given the mention of torque, with the data points you guys now have, what is the performance impact of the 05/06 tranny, compared to the older one?

Mike, no need to say sorry... I'd rather have you guys sort things-out before having others be the guinea pig...

We've also completed another E85 conversion on a 03 MCS with the MegaMynes header and our comparison would be a little more equal. The only mod that he lacks was the cam.. i will also post this in the MPF tomorrow.
cheers.
