Was it a bad O2 in your case or leaks as you suggested?

I had a similar issue with my aftermarket header/cat. I kept getting lean bank errors. I was told it was due to the 'racing cat' not being as efficient as the stock. I changed back to the stock header and have had no problems since.

I am still using the same o2 sensors (that were stock and on the aftermarket header) at 40K miles.

Good Luck,
Mike

So you ran the factory header with the aftermarket cat?

he was using a header with aftermarket cat.

mine was b/c the welds on the cat flanges were leaking so i had to re-weld it and it fixed the problem. the gasket was also leaking on the back side of the converter.

Correct, it was a header with an aftermarket cat already attached.

Well that sort of tells me that I should expect this with my setup and I shouldn't worry about the O2 sensor being bad. I looked and listened for leaks around the intake manifold, intake pipe and looked to see if I had any loose vacuum lines. Although I do know that the engine will idle pretty rough if a vacuum line is loose and it is idling smoothly. I will report if I learn anything else or anything else changes.

Thanks for the help guys!
