Drivetrain UUC exhaust - OK what's the deal?!
Seriously? Has anyone coughed up the dough for this beauty yet? Anyone actually install it yet? Everyone's been waiting for it and it finally comes out and gets a great review by Randy (IMO) and then that's the end....What happened? Someone had to order one! If you did, tell us what you think!
Pilo Racing has the system on the way. We will be showing it off at the Mini Meet here in NJ next weekend. Will be installing it along with springs and a short shifter next week, with writeups on the short shifter and the UUC Exhaust.

Was UUC worth the wait? Well I didn't wait and I got the quicksilver some months ago and I am very happy with it. I didn't wait and I'm not sad about it. Now that the price of $875 is known along with the other aspects of the exhaust it is up to those MCS owners to choose with their pocketbooks.
There is nothing wrong with choosing UUC. You probably are getting more exhaust than you will ever really need. It's your choice- and there are many other systems that might do as well for less $$$. Borla race/sport and Magnaflow are still contenders.
I do believe that for me, UUC is the nicest looking and there is a matching UUC shift **** too.
If anyone has the UUC installed- let us know how it has worked out for you!

I went with the UUC not only for the performance, but for the full polished look as well.. I know I know.. it's under the car... but when you spend so much time under it changing parts, why not make it look good as well

I got one of the first shipped and it's great. It's fairly quiet at lo revs but above 4,000 it screams and also sounds great on overrun. There is a noticeable power increase above 4k(not my imagination) Unfortunately I'l probably sell my car for a 930 turbo and , if I do I'll take it off.

I should have mine tomorrow, I will be installing on thursday, and doing a write up. I have lots of products going into my car, so I should be able to let you know how it works with all the other products.

Recieved the UUC today. Great product, Amazing looking. I have only installed the rear section so far as I have left the rest off to work on the short shifter. The rest should only take about 15 minutes. Install would really only take about 1 hour, and it is possible to do by one person. Air or power tools make the install go much quicker, but ratchet tools will do the jog just fine.
I will post some pics tomorrow.
It is recomended that you have either 4 jack stands or 2 jack stand and a set of ramps for the rear tires.
Thanks

I just installed mine : )
It's pretty darn nice and the fit and finish is great.
The packaging is very nicely wrapped.
It's a little louder than I expected, but if I can still hear my stock stereo than I guess it's not that bad. Don't get me wrong though it's not nearly as loud as some borla race mufflers.
I did the install by myself with an air tool and yes the air tools do come in handy when removing the old exhaust. Now I just need to find a place for this old one piece exhaust to store.
Performance wise, it's definitely more torque and much faster throttle response.
I have yet to really put it to the test besides driving it to work. Plus I have the 15% reduction pulley and EVO ECU, with free flow intake.
I did notice that at about 4,000RPM I seem to lose a little umph, not sure why but after 4600RPM it keeps going up to red line again like it's suppose to. I'll test it out more when I drive to Laguna Seca on Sat.

Have you heard the Race Borlas? That's great. Finally, a direct comparison of Race Borla with another brand. Now I have a better reference as to how loud (or less loud) the UUC is.

I finally got more feel about my loss of umph at 4,000 RPM. Actually there's no loss of power but the sound is a bit quieter. Actually driving on the freeway at 2,000-2,500 RPM, you almost think this was your stock exhaust, after 3,000 it starts to roar, I'm really starting to like the sound of this muffler....very well designed and sure feels more than 7hp!

The System is very mild manered from 1k to about 3k. It then is rather loud from 3k - 4k, but after that, it's quiets out, but is a little louder than stock. Cruising on the highway at about 65, the system is very quite.
