water/meth + N2O, thoughts?

I've heard of people using a water meth injection setup along side a N2O setup. I was thinking about doing something like this.

I have the alta water/meth injection setup now. So it reads the duty cycle of the injectors and injects the water/meth accordingly. Is there a way to run the n2o setup along side that setup safly? I would want to run possibly a 50 shot. I was thinking about just using the watermeth setup just with the N2O, and just using a window switch to activate the N2O setup.
I think some of you guys are doing this already. I would love some more information on this.

thanks again

Be careful, the system you have(pump) doesn't flow as much as some other systems.

your talking about the way the alta setup runs doesnt spray as much as the other systems that just turn on at a certain PSI?
that makes sense. so your saying it could be a problem since the N2O will be spraying at a constant rate, and the water meth would be folowing the injector cycle.

So it would be better to use a different type of W/M setup?

thanks for the insight

Actually, the progressive system is fine, and the better way to go. Myself, I prefer a progressive N20 as well.
The issue is the pump you have does not have the flow capacity of the other types of pumps folk are using. You can make certain modifications to the pump to make it flow more if need be. Just be careful that your water/meth system can provide the capacity you may need for what you want to do.

When that pump was designed, it was meant to spray small amounts of water to prevent detonation in the WRC cars. It's not the ideal unit(but still works) for what the aftermarket is trying to do now.

I have had no experience with the Perrin system so I am not going to comment on it... but you can also spray too much meth...

The only way to see if it will work is to try it! Just start conservatively and go from there! Good luck with it.

Just an up date.. I pulled the dry system and went WET!! I am making all my mods with OUT the benefit of a "Tuner" and after installing my ported HEAD I didn't like the A/F. The meth is working great, pulling 8 whp on the stock tune. However wanting to make sure I am safe... I just installed a wet system. I SWAG'd a 40 HP jetting, and will get some dyno and a/f time next week. I will dyno with the w/m system on and off!! ( the key being the A/F) also changing the mix on the meth to see to what advantage, also moving the Fuel jetting around to see the A/F difference. I figure this will help guys wanting to have fun, and not having a TUNE close or avaialble... yes?? SOOOoooooo.... Next week and either I will be freaking FAST.. or in pieces!! LOL

Just me..........................................

I apologize for hijacking this thread, but I am curious about the amount of time that the reservoir lasts. I do lapping and Driver's Education events, and I was hoping that the 2L Headlight washer bottle will last at least 25-30 minutes while on track.

Does anyone have any input?

It should, but it depends upon what and how you are spraying.

Here is some good insite about water meth and pumps for peeps that dont know......

lots about water meth!

......I also have a perrin progressive system, havent hooked it up yet...........but what I was thinking about was why not try some of the n2o water meth mix stuff?

linky to n2o water

I dont think I have read about anyone trying this stuff or not. I would be interested to see dyno runs with it and with just straight water meth.

The RBR is good info, but they build race(bonneville) systems not really the best for the track or street.

The folks on the other forums tried it(Nitro additive) and didn't find much, but it's always worth a test.

The RBR was a good read. Are more of you running progressive systems or a single boost activation switch?
