The Mexican MINI Club had a track day a few days ago, and there were a couple MINIs there with the Remus exhaust.
I was BLOWN AWAY by the sound....Mellow at idle, but when revved it produces the richest, deepest, growliest and most pants-wettingly delightful sound I've ever heard emanating from the rear end of a MINI.
No nasty, metallic rasp as encountered in some other exhausts, just a smooth harmonic growl.

Does anyone have any experience with the Remus exhaust for the MINI? I have no idea about performance data for this exhaust, but at this point I'm considering buying one based on sound alone...I like it that much!
For those who have heard this system before, is there any other exhaust system out there which produces a similar sound?

The RSpeed exhaust is a good overall option, nice performance (torque) and not so loud. But I haven't heard it side by side with the Remus.

I have had the remuse dual exhaust for well over a year now, very mature sound outside-mellow and strong, comfortable inside at all speeds.well built also.

Do you know the actual weight of the dual exhaust, minidog?

No,I do not remember if I ever knew, but it was not all that much heavier than the stock exhaust, the main muffler is smaller and the left side is alot smaller.

Gabe's review is spot on. I have about 5k on the Remus single tip on my Cooper and am very happy. I tried the Borla first and found the interior noise way to drony and the tip design incongruous.

I love the mellow sound of the Remus and think it's really nice aesthetically as well - blacked out resonator box and a tip that echoes the weight and curves of the taillight trim. Note that the Remus does require that you cut your stock system. That's the only downside I'm aware of.

i have around 5K on my remus, and i am glad i added it. it is significantly lighter in weight than stock the stock muffler, and the tip looks sharp. I have a pipercross intake and lots of air going through the engine, and the exhaust handles the mods great.

I would like to know if the dual setup (for reg coopers) produces more HP...
