17% Supercharger installed today

After much anticipation I installed a 17% Alta V2 pulley this weekend. I started early figuring I would leave enough time for problems and mistakes. After about 2 1/2 hour I was done and cleaned up. It was much easier and less involved then what it was made out to be. After reading many post on the forum I wasn't entirely sure I wanted to tackle this but I'm glad I did. The improvement with acceleration is decent, it does pull a lot better but honestly I was hoping for more. It does sound much nicer with the CAI you can really hear the whine of the supercharger.
Just thought I would share my experience.
Joe

It's really not difficult to do. Take your time and you'll get it done smoothly. You do need to replace the belt with a smaller one. I used a gates and it fits perfectly. I didn't buy the pulley removal tool from Alta or a belt tensior tool. I was actually able to position a crobar on the lip and compress the spring with out damaging anything. I picked up a bearing removal kit from Harbor Freight and was able to use the puller from the kit. It was $39.00 and worked with out a hitch.
Total time including clean up was 2 1/2 hrs.
Hope this helps
Joe
