They are maps based on dyno tunes we have done here locally using different mod configs

So they are a "best guess" canned tuned.

Thanks

I would call it a "highly educated guess".
So far on the dyno we have been able to gain 1-3 more HP versus just the reflash on an R56. Obviously there is dyno time cost to consider so were very pleased with the reflash at this point.

How did the test and tune go? I might consider evotech over my unichip. What are the boost levels that evotech tunes are running?

15psi is the boost level to expect on a tune. George is still working on a tune for a Turbo and Cams...

Very impressive considering it claims to make more power than a unichip with lower boost levels.

We have not done any work on a JCW yet but you will see a gain in Boost.
Removing the ECU.... There are a couple of plastic clips holding it in. You'll need patience but it's not much harder than pulling an R53 ECU

You may remember about a few months ago I posted my dyno results for the unichip. Since then I have had issues with the unichip (kept on getting limp mode, you have probably seen my posts). Since then ALTA STEPPED UP TO THE PLATE and got me a refund (and won back a customer!!)

Anyways I had the new evotech tune installed (the same one that mini madness has) but mine was actually installed and dyno tuned by dynocomp. They were on the phone with the company in Germany doing the tuning while on the dyno and making it custom for my car. The install went on for about 45 minutes with them running the dyno, getting the results and taking to the tech, they would then tweak the ECU and rerun the dyno etc....The results are pretty impressive +25hp & just over 30tq. NO CEL's or ANY problems at all (going on a month now!) Plus it’s totally transparent to the dealer, so no issues if I have to take it in for service. Just thought you might like to know about it. It definitely needs to be installed by a company that can tune it on a dyno to get max performance!

BTW I have being shipped to me Alta's intake, boost tube & inlet tube. As soon as I get them I will be stopping by Dynocomp to install, and if possible do some before/after dyno runs..
Just so I get this straight, you can get this software and then have a local shop tune it? I have a very good relationship with my mechanic and he's been wanting to do it for awhile. So if I called Mini Madness and asked for it, I can get it flashed by someone else?

If they are a EvoTech dealer...

Mostly a west coast thing though...DynoComp in AZ is their main distributor I believe. You can try calling them and see what they can do for you.
