Drivetrain BBR twin intercooler
BBR twin intercooler
Is anyone running a BBR twin intercooler?
The conversion maintains the original top mounted intercooler and in addition uses a secondary front mounted cooler...

Do you have any pics?

Jan there calling you out,
"So here's the BBR challenge: if any of these so called experts can prove on our engine dyno (free of charge) that they can achieve on pump fuel a gain of over 18BHP (let alone 30BHP) from just changing the software (from the original manufactures). They can win free of charge our new 2005 Cooper S model with a list price of £24 000!!! We await the first phone call (LOL)."
Although I didnt see the intercooler it sounds cool, also there exhaust is sick looking.

Back to the topic of the intercooler... I vote BAD IDEA! Not only are you adding the restriction of an additional intercooler, it's a DUAL PASS intercooler which is the most restrictive use of intercooler volume possible. For instance, if the core was 8x8x3, you could flow 8" through an 8x3 cross section (single pass) or you could flow 16" through a 4x3 cross section. Tell me which one makes more sense.
Add to that Newton's law of cooling that says that the rate of heat dissipation is directly proportional to the difference between the cooled object (air) and the cooling medium (ambient). Therefore, the second pass through the intercooler performs far less work than the first pass. So you have A)twice the core restriction and B)half your core volume doing 1/4 the work.
So there you go. My reasoning to avoid the dual-pass intercooler. That and its F-ing CRAZY EXPENSIVE! 2000 GBP? That's $4000! For an intercooler!!

Is this the intercooler?
