The stroker

The stroke is a combo of bore and stroke changes. as stated in a the Rmw air sucky thing thread...
From what i understand the Cad drawings are done for the Tvs system but the hang up is the Nimrod machinist.
So if anyone knows a good one in the so cal area contact jan im sure he would be thrilled.

In the latest Musangs & Fast Fords...

there was an article about swapping from a Gen5 M122 to the new TVS. Gen 5 M122 was 368 HP, 366 ft-lb of torque. The TVS increased that by 160 HP and 183 ft-lb torque, pretty heady numbers! But to get all it had to offer, a re-tune was needed.

Just something to think about....

Matt

I think 325whp with his cam, head, exhaust, pulley (if you can), injectors and a tune...

One other thing the Mustang article showed...

is how frigging smooth and flat the torque curve was.

I'm talking 2.0. On the 1.6, 300 may be the limit. I'll take one for the team and put one on and report back on what the dyno tells.

So if I finish up my exhaust with a set of headers and I go with 440 injectors will I be all set for the new SC with just a tune? Can a local GIAC shop do the tune or will I have to get the car out to California?

this supercharger in this thread is currently too big for a 1.6L
I expect to have a smaller version when available to bolt onto a 1.6L
Our remote tune will be able to tune the car

Would you hurry up with yours!!!!!!!! Everyone wants the 900 NOW.

I'll wait till it's ready. Even if it's till summer of next year. I know that may even be a push.

Yeah I think more people are following this thread with the 900 in mind than the 2.0L no? Not too say I'm not interested in what the stroker along with this 1320 is gonna put down!!! WOW But I would think its safe to say the market is definitely there for the 900. Did Eaton agree to start casting a mold for the 900 to fit on the 1.6L or are they not interested? I thought I remembered reading a few pages back that it was gonna take some convincing to make a casting of our supercharger with the 900 fitted into it....or am I going out of my mind?

Steve

I think it's more about the the TVS900 being made, then Jan adapting to the 1.6. I sure Jan will keep us informed. It's going to be a time consuming project. Most people think it's just a bolt on done deal already. I think not.

oh time consuming probably doesn't even describe it well enough when looking through Jan's eye's!! But like everything he's come out with...when it hits it will be gold and by far top anything in the Mini world by a longshot!
