Helix SS install complete!!

Hey everyone I got my Helix short shifter installed this past weekend and am very pleased with the results. Overall it seems as though a little more effort is needed and the shifts are a bit notchier (is that a word???) but wow so much shorter. You can really bang through the gears much quicker. Here are a few shots I took before and after so you can get an idea of how much shorter the throw is....oh and notice the stock height is retained which is one of the reasons I got the Helix..that and the great price

1st gear before install

1st gear after install

2nd gear before install

2nd gear after install

Hope you all like. I took pictures of 5th and 6th before and after but I think you get the idea right?

Steve

Ding Ding Ding!!! HighLife4136 is correct!!! 36mm craftsman socket. Luys.....to answer your question no real problem getting into any specific gear. Just a little tight going into each gear.

agreed....very good mod. I'm gonna try and work on the notchyness this weekend by bending the rod down a little bit more. Hopefully I just didn't bend it down far enough and that will solve the problem. I'll be sure to let everyone know.
