That's an easy decision....E.D.

Well unless you are looking for quiet, then Alta is the way.

There are plenty of soundclips on the Exhaust Depot thread.

I don't want it like overly loud in the interior, but my presence known on the outside. I forgot about the Invidia how do you like it?

Love it!

I'd definitely recommend it. It's presence is known, but it's not loud. And its a deep growling sound.

Personally, I'd go with Exhaust Depot....
Great prices, great sounding systems and an honest friendly interface do it for me

Will either one pass the sniffler test or whatever it's called by cutting out the second cat converter?

The Invidia and ALTA are only cat backs, you'd be a fool not to get a full TBE for the same money. The power comes from the DP.

ALTA does sell downpipes in addition to the cat backs making it a full TBE. Granted you might be able to find a similar set up elsewhere cheaper but they do have them available.

Yeah they do but what I'm saying is you'd have to be a fool to pay $1500 for a TBE from one place when you can have a perfectly good one for $750 from another wouldn't you?

Don't assume you know how much I paid for my Invidia .

I was planning on getting a full turbo back, custom designed...but the Invidia came my way at a wicked good price. Couldn't pass it up.

So, I sir, am not a fool. Thanks. Plus, its the best sounding cat back for the R56. Period.

Have a DP being designed for me...for free. So i will have the best of both worlds.

ThumperMCS I wasn't suggesting you were a fool at all mate especially since ExhaustDepot wasn't even a vendor here then. Besides, you didn't pay the afformentioned $1500 for a TBE did you so why would what I said be aimed at you? All I'm doing is giving my opinion and that's if right now I was in the market for a custom exhaust and wanted to add some real power to my vehicle then I'd want my head examining if I had approx $800 to spend and I spent on a catback when I could have spent it on a full turbo back. That's all I'm saying.

Oh for sure, I hear ya 100%, no worries!

I wrote my post in jest. Exhaust Depot's TBE is bar none the best complete exhaust option on the market. I'd hate to see someone spend $1600 on an Alta TBE. Not against Alta, but that's a lotta cheddar! Especially for an exhaust that is so quiet.

The ED exhaust sounds awesome....and I'm sure it makes a decent amount of power as well.

Hey thanks guys lol for the help....I found the invidia for like 645 on multiple sites. I won't make enough for a downpipe and install before I go back to school. I'm off to work though.
