Installing Alta CAI before break-in period

Basically what the title says. Is it ok to install an Alta CAI before I finish my break-in period. I am at around 650 miles of the suggested 1200 mile break-in period. Thanks for the help.

Break-in? What break-in?

Mine was broken in at 50 miles.

Just remember...if 'something" were to happen to funky up the car within the wrranty period...swap it back when you take it in...

Nothing wrong with modifying an engine before break in is over. Just need to be nice to motors during the thousand or so miles. When a motor is built or rebuilt it needs to be broken in regardless of whether it is rebuilt to modify it or built to stock specs. I have done after market add ons at every point of an engines life. No harm.

GO FOR IT! Break it in at the HP level you are going to run the car at for the life of the car. (My opinion of course.)

Thanks in advance for the business!

Thanks for the info guys. It's sitting on my doorstep at home right now. Gonna rush home and install it. One more question. Should I completely remove the backing for the hood scoop, or should I cut holes in it?

Remove it while you take the weekend to trim out the mesh!

Hey guys, need a little help asap anyone. I was removing the sound generator tube, and accidentally dropped the clamp ring holding it on to the rubber tube, and I can't see where it went. Is this going to be a big deal, or could it just fall out when driving? Please help me asap. Thanks.

you should try and located it so you can tell if it fell out in the first place... if you find it, i think you can buy this thing that looks like an antenna but with a magnetic tip on the end...

The smaller diameter supercharge pulley was installed on my S when it had only 300 miles on it. You can make the mod you want.
