RMW 440cc injectors with final tune!!!UPDATED WITH GRAPHS!!!!

Been back to 1320 autos today for the finishing touches. I am very pleased with the outcome!!

251bhp-380cc and no tune thursday (220WHP)

266bhp-440cc injectors with tune (230WHP)

There is still more bhp to be gained from keeping the car inlet temps down as when I post the graphs you will see as the power reaches 250bhp the timing is knocked back due to inlet temp getting over 50 degreesC

Jan and Chris were tweaking the AFR and this gave the car time to cool down while the changes were made and on the dyno it made 274bhp (235WHP) . From the graph you will see the line is constant.

So in conclusion back to back runs are showing a good 266bhp(230WHP) but we think that if I fit a GRS I/C I could see constant 270+bhp and if I fit an aftermarket exhaust (yes still on OEM exhaust) like the miltek I could see an addition gain of up to 10bhp

I am still on 15% pulley as well so the redline is @7600rpm and I'm loving it

Just shows how strong a new engine can be

To let you all know what the power is like is hard but I will just say on the way back from 1320 autos there must of been a very unhappy EVO 8 driver. He must of thought I had glued myself to his bumper!!! ( IMHO if he would of moved out the way I think I could of past him)

Just want to finish with a big thanks to Jan(RMW) and Chris(1320 autos) for there help in making a very fast mini

James

P.S nice to meet a few new faces today @1320autos as well

Bigshow would you bring your performance box to the RR day?

Graph one were it made 274bhp was when the engine was nice and cool and you can see there is no timing being knocked back

Graph two is when engine is hot and shows some timing being knocked back

Glad to see the remote Dimsport tune works. Jan told me he was up at 2am to tune your car in the UK.

Your numbers are great considering that stock exhaust is chocking that poor RMW head. Have fun driving.

Cheers LB, yes Jan sure is committed to stay up all hours to tune my car

I am very pleased with the numbers, but more so my 7600rpm redline. Just seems to have power everywhere. I only have 200lbs ft of torque but the higher rev limit makes up for it

100mph comes up too quick now, I have to keep a close eye on the speedo

I may end up taking the plunge and getting the full exhaust system, we will wait and see

Wow sweet dual tune Jaw F430! Too bad about your stock exhaust; I'd give you my extra 1-ball exhaust-to see if it'd help-if you were near me....hehe.

Good #'s! Your BHP calculations look a bit high. These cars (The 6-Speeds at least) don't have 17% drivetrain loss. It's more like 11-12%.

How do you know that Rusty? We measure and see different drivetrain losses depending on wheel and tire and gearbox combo. Also as you know we verify what bhp we have at the drag strip as well.Like most Americans I prefer the whp figure but I'm beginning to understand our software when you see different whp figure but when corrected to flywheel both cars are line on line at the same boost. This could explain some whp figures on twin roller dynos.

What he said^

If you look at mine and Bigshows both cars produce around 230-235WHP but mine makes around 270bhp and bigshows make around 282bhp, we have different year gearboxes, wheels and tyres so there is going to be different drivetrain losses you cannot say all MCS have a X amount of drivetrain loss as most are different

Well a 12% loss from 266 bhp would be 234 WHP... where as a 17% loss would be 220 WHP so uuhhh since we all know that you can gain more than 4 whp from ICE on the IC you think you can chill on the over technical analyzations... ....chief

now if the brits would get thier game together and stop using BHP since it's old hat.. that would help too

oh and CONGRATS!!

If you make a one ball and don't like it(not too loud for me) I'm sure you can find somebody's cheap stock exhaust to use! Have fun exhaust shopping!
