to crank pulley or not to pulley

wow guys there are so many opinions about whether to change out the crank pulley or not.. heres the deal i have a 02 and first gear is so slow to start up so i figured and have read that its great to change the crank pulley with a 15% sc pulley and it will rev must faster.. also has anyone found out if the stock pulley is dampened? and does the aftermarket cause vibrations that will cause crank walk?? oh and i have almost 60k ..... oh and i was planning on changing the alternator pulley also...what should i do???!!!!

15% supercharger pulley+2% crank pulley+ stock alternator pulley here, and that was at 40,000km, now i am over 91,000km, with constant tracking... no problem

that said, you might be a bit disappointed with the results with adding a 2%... guess the hype didn't REALLY help the situation for me

that said, the dealer did make a note that my alternator needs a replacement, didn't say why back about 2 years ago.... and my battery is fine so far.....

The '06 model OEM crank pulley is redesigned and lighter than the '02 design. Plus you get something specifically designed for the engine that will promote longevity.

if a crank pulley really didn't do anything for you with your 02' than an 06' with a 15% really isn't going gain anything by installing a 2% crank pulley? anyone change their 06' crank to a 2% and if so did you notice any significant performance gains? would you do it again if you could start all over?

Get a lighter flywheel for better throttle response Mini Monster or just squeeze your right foot more.

For better throttle response, this is an option:

Most who have actually tried it seem to like it.

i had the 2% pulley with a 15% pulley. I was recommend to remove it from a few people here who have my respect for modding and I listened. Since removing I dont notice anything. does not feel slower. my shifts are slightly jerkier since removal but who cares. I usually drive hard anyways. so,
being a former 2% crank owner ( with no real issues from it ) and since removing it IMHO it didnt really do much and is so contraversial anyways, i recommend spending the money elsewhere. again just my opinion/experience

Oh so you don't have a blower reduction pulley....try that 16% first then.
