alta exhaust how-to?

Are there any write ups for alta's newest catback systems? particularly ones similar to the new stealth series. I found a general exhaust how to, but that dealt with magnaflow and borla. I tried to search, but the search engine here isnt very specific.

my new stealth system arrived yesterday, I just want to make sure there are no surprises once i tear everything off. This is also my first 2 star install, lol. I've done the 1 stars (air diverter, cai, etc.) just nervous about the big leap up to another star!

well, i gave it the old college try...but didn't get very far...i could NOT break those bolts loose from the cat. They were rusted on pretty good. The jack stands just didnt give me the room needed for enough leverage. I have the feeling their going to have to be cut off....now i have to pay some one money to do it for me....ehh

If you are going to attempt it again, spray the bolts generously with some penetrating lube like pb blaster. Let it sit for a couple mins then go at it again. An impact wrench would do wonders but having the right tools makes all the difference.

Good Luck and I know you will love that exhaust once you get it fitted.

Hey sorry you are having any problems! PLEASE let me know if I can help in anyway further. The v-bands should make things FAR easier than most imagine.

Chat soon!

well the issues I am having is with the OEM exhaust, but thank u for the offer. I finally managed to get one nut off the cat, but the bolt wont budge, i even PB and hammered the crap out of it...this is kind of depressing. I think im going to try to rent a lift, and do it myself, maybe save a little money. Adam, there is one thing you can do....with my order, I got two of the Red Alta tshirts. I ordered a Small and Large, but I ended up receiving a Small and a Medium...If you could send me a Large, I'd be forever grateful....trust me, you dont want me showing off your shirt while wearing a Medium.

You trying to split cat back from OEM mani?

The nut you got off I would put it back on and tighten it slightly and then crack both nuts off before removing one. When you just let one nut go it puts more pressure on the other nut making it harder to undo.

P.S maybe even harder now if you have damaged the thread or the nut with hammer rash

this is the only pic i could manage....too excited to even wash the car first..plus it wont stop raining!! Lastly, the exhaust is incredible!! not much louder than stock when idling or crusing, but when you get on it, it screams, sounds like i have another supercharger, lol. I could actually feel the performance increase, which shocked me a little. the burbling sounds when you let off the gas is pretty sweet too...

Also, Adam...someone from Alta emailed me and said theyd get the shirt out to me. so i look for it to arrive in a couple days. if not, i'll be in touch!
